A Sci-Fi Adventure
Set in the same universe as Darkly Bound but ten years forward in time, The CYA Files tells the story of six young people who, under the leadership of a former pastor, Dr. McIntire, help protect the city of London through their organization the Christian Youth Alliance, or CYA for short. The novel deals with the arrival of the most recent member, Emily Johnson, and with their fight against the evil Lord Nekros, a half-werewolf trying to steal energy from the people of Earth so that he can awaken an ancient werewolf and purge himself of his mother’s witch-siren blood, under the guise of Darien Palmer, a record company mogul. But while doing this, it also delves into the past of the CYA and the pasts of each of its members with its chapters written from different perspectives. These perspectives just go to show that protecting a city using only high-tech battle suits, their skills and talents, and their unique spiritual gifts is as not as easy as it seems.
